A joyful African child cups her hands beneath a flowing tap, receiving something so simple yet so fundamental: clean water. The child’s expression captures more than happiness, it represents hope, dignity, and the promise of a better future. Water becomes a symbol of life, health, opportunity, and equality. Behind her, the landscape unfolds in abundance, connecting the wellbeing of the child with the wellbeing of her community and the natural world. Rooted in African culture through the vibrant textiles, patterns, and sense of community, the work reflects the spirit of Mẹ rho rhunmwunda gh'urho - “I am because we are.” It reminds us that access to the essentials of life should not be a privilege, but a shared human right.
